Day 1 - Mystras & Sparta

Morning: Corinth Canal

  • Drive toward the Peloponnese peninsula
  • Short stop at the Corinth Canal, a late 19th-century engineering landmark
  • Time for photographs and a brief break

Midday: Mystras

  • Arrival at Mystras, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Exploration of the Byzantine fortified settlement, including the castle, churches, and monasteries
  • Overview of Mystras as an important medieval center of the Despotate of the Morea

Afternoon: Sparta

  • Arrival in Sparta, one of the most powerful city-states of antiquity
  • Optional visit to the Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil
  • Visit to the Tomb of King Leonidas
  • Traditional Greek lunch in the area

Evening: Olympia

  • Drive to Olympia
  • Drop-off at your hotel

Day 2 - Ancient Olympia

Morning: Archaeological Site

  • Visit to Ancient Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games
  • Exploration of the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, and the ancient Stadium
  • Historical overview of the Olympic Games, first held in 776 BC

Archaeological Museum

  • Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Olympia
  • Viewing of key exhibits, including the statue of Hermes

Lunch & Return
