Athens – Corinth Full Day Tour

This three-day private journey explores some of Greece’s most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites, combining Byzantine architecture, classical antiquity, and monastic tradition within dramatic natural landscapes.

The itinerary connects the monastery of Hosios Loukas, the sanctuary of Delphi, and the rock formations of Meteora, concluding with a historic stop at Thermopylae. Carefully paced across three days, the experience allows for meaningful exploration, overnight stays in Delphi and Kalabaka, and scenic drives through Central Greece.

Pick-up and drop-off are available from your hotel or preferred location in Athens.

Day 1 - Hosios Loukas & Delphi

Morning: Central Greece

  • Pick-up from your hotel or preferred location
  • Drive toward Central Greece
  • Visit to the walled Monastery of Hosios Loukas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Approximately 1.5 hours to explore the monastery complex, dating to the 10th century and known for its mosaics and Middle Byzantine architecture
  • Stop at the village of Chaeronea

Midday: Arachova

  • Stop in the mountain village of Arachova
  • Free time to explore the village

Afternoon: Delphi

  • Arrival at Delphi, regarded in antiquity as the “navel of the world”
  • Visit to the Sanctuary of Apollo
  • Exploration of the Temple of Apollo, the Castalian Spring, the Temple of Athena Pronaia, the theatre, and the stadium
  • Overview of the Delphic Oracle and the role of the Pythia

Delphi Archaeological Museum

  • Visit to the museum
  • Viewing of significant exhibits including the Statue of Antinous and the bronze Charioteer of Delphi
  • Overnight stay in the village of Delphi

Day 2 - Delphi to Meteora

Morning Departure

  • Breakfast in Delphi
  • Scenic 3.5-hour drive toward Meteora

Midday: Kalabaka

  • Arrival in Kalabaka
  • Lunch in the area

Afternoon: Meteora

  • Visit to Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Overview of the rock formations and the monastic community
  • Visits to up to three monasteries
  • Opportunity to walk along natural trails
  • Overnight stay in Kalabaka

Day 3 - Meteora & Thermopylae

Morning: Meteora

  • Continued visit to Meteora
  • Lunch in Kalabaka

Afternoon: Thermopylae

  • Drive toward Thermopylae
  • Visit to the historic site of the Battle of 480 BC
  • Overview of the stand of King Leonidas and the Spartan forces

Final Stop & Return

  • Stop in Kamena Vourla
  • Return drive to Athens
  • Drop-off at your hotel or preferred location
