This three-day private tour explores the cultural heart of the Peloponnese, connecting major centers of classical antiquity with scenic landscapes and historic seaside towns.
The itinerary combines Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplion, Bassae, and Olympia in a carefully structured journey across southern Greece. Designed with balanced pacing and overnight stays in Nafplion and Olympia, the experience allows for meaningful exploration without rushing.
Pick-up and drop-off are available from your hotel or preferred location in Athens.
Day 1 - Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus & Nafplion
Morning: Corinth Canal & Ancient Corinth
- Pick-up from your hotel or preferred location
- Drive toward the Peloponnese peninsula
- Stop at the Corinth Canal, a late 19th-century engineering landmark
- Time for photographs and a short break
- Arrival at Ancient Corinth
- Approximately 1.5 hours to explore the archaeological site and museum
- Visit to the 6th-century BC Doric Temple of Apollo
- Walk through the Roman Agora, including the Bema traditionally associated with St. Paul
- Exploration of the fountains of Glauke and Peirene, the theatre, marketplace, and Roman remains
Midday: Mycenae
- Arrival at Mycenae
- Entry through the Lion Gate
- Walk along the Cyclopean walls
- Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Mycenae
- Visit to the Treasury of Atreus (Tomb of Agamemnon)
- Approximate visit duration: 30 minutes
Afternoon: Epidaurus & Nafplion
- Drive to Epidaurus
- Visit to the 4th-century BC Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its acoustics
- Exploration of the Sanctuary of Asclepius
- Approximate visit duration: 1.5 hours
- Arrival in Nafplion
- Overnight stay in Nafplion
Day 2 - Nafplion, Bassae & Olympia
Morning: Nafplion
- Breakfast in Nafplion
- Visit to Akronafplia
- View of Palamidi Fortress
Midday: Bassae
- Drive to Bassae
- Visit to the Temple of Apollo Epicurius
Afternoon & Evening: Olympia
- Arrival in Olympia
- Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, including the statue of Hermes
- Lunch in the area
- Overnight stay in Olympia
Day 2 - Nafplion, Bassae & Olympia
Morning: Archaeological Site
- Two-hour visit to the archaeological site of Olympia
- Exploration of the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, and the ancient Stadium
- Historical overview of the Olympic Games, first held in 776 BC
Lunch & Return
- Traditional lunch in the area
- Return drive to Athens
- Drop-off at your hotel or preferred location
